The variety has a rounded or spherical root crop shape. It is characterized by smaller dimensions compared to the Detroit Dark Red variety, as well as less pronounced zoning (ring formation) of the flesh in cross-section.
The plant has narrow and smooth leaves. The variety is intended for fresh consumption and cultivation in home gardening.
