The variety Blonde à carde blanche is characterized by large, broad, wavy leaves of a light green shade and a semi-upright rosette habit. The leaf blade has a medium degree of blistering, and the long petioles are distinguished by a bright white color, tender texture, and crunchiness.

The plant is intended for cultivation in the open field for summer and autumn consumption. The variety shows heat tolerance, is noted for high productivity, and is used as a standard for assessing the morphological traits of Swiss chard within the framework of official UPOV and CPVO testing.
