The plant has dark purple, smooth leaf blades and medium-width petioles of bright red color. The variety is suitable for multiple harvesting; when harvested early, the leaves are suitable for use in baby leaf mixes.

Chard is undemanding regarding growing conditions and is capable of developing in partial shade. With the seedling method, planting in open field is recommended after mid-May to avoid premature bolting due to low temperatures.
