The variety belongs to the stalk-type variety of chard. The plant forms large, dark green, slightly wrinkled leaves and wide, fleshy, crispy stalks of white color.

The variety is fast-growing and productive, suitable for prolonged harvesting with regular cutting of young leaves. Due to the distinct contrast between white stalks and dark green foliage, it can be used in ornamental gardening.

Intended for fresh consumption, boiling, stewing, preparation of soups and fillings. The variety name is also used as a collective name for a group of stalk-type chards with white stalks.
