Srebrnolistni mangold is a plant with large dark green leaves and wide white, silvery petioles. In international classifications, it is compared to the Large ribbed dark green or Verde a costa larga argentata types.

The plant is used as a vegetable crop for the production of leaf mass. In agricultural research, the variety was used in intercropping experiments, where it proved to be a favorable companion for Phaseolus vulgaris, contributing to an increase in its yield.
