The variety is a hardy multigerm type of sugar beet. During its period of active use, it was the most widespread variety in Czechoslovakia and was often used as a basis for scientific research, including the development of inbred lines and the study of the physiological characteristics of the crop.
The variety belongs to the yield-type and is distinguished by good indicators of sugar yield and juice purity. Historically, it was used in comparative trials as a standard for evaluating the productivity of other varieties, and also served as an object for studying tolerance to stress factors, in particular to soil salinity.
