The plant belongs to the kale group and is often classified as Brassica oleracea var. costata or acephala. It is characterized by large light-green leaves with wavy margins and prominent white veins. A characteristic feature is the thick and succulent petioles, and the plant may form a small loose head in the center.

The variety is mid-late or late-maturing; the harvest period can reach 150 days. The plant is capable of regrowing new leaves after the old ones are harvested and exhibits resistance to frost and bolting. In a mature state, the height of the plant can be about 40 cm.
