The plant forms strongly curled, puckered leaves of a dark blue-violet color. The variety is low-growing, with a plant height of 30–40 cm. No head is formed.
Belongs to mid-late varieties. Possesses high frost resistance and is capable of enduring temperature drops down to –18 °C. Intended for fresh consumption and decorative use.
The plant can be grown both by direct seeding into the ground and via transplants. With early spring sowing, harvesting of young greens is possible after one month.
