The Romanesco precoce variety belongs to the species Brassica oleracea and the Botrytis group. The plant forms medium-sized heads, the inflorescences of which have a pyramidal shape, curled in a logarithmic spiral.

Grown as an annual crop. Under historical cultivation conditions in Italy, sowing is carried out from May to July, and harvesting in the period from November to January.
