The variety forms dense heads with intense red coloration. It is distinguished by a vigorous growth habit, allowing development on less fertile soils, and high resistance to cracking, which allows the heads to be kept in the field for a long time for harvesting flexibility.
The plant belongs to the traditional Dutch varieties of the Langedijker group. The variety is intended for autumn consumption and often appears in official lists under the name Langedijker Herfst.
