The variety forms dense red-violet heads. The plant possesses good resistance to cracking and the ability to maintain marketable quality in the field for a long time after reaching technical maturity, which allows for an extended harvesting period.
Intended primarily for summer and autumn consumption. In international classification, it is known as Langedijker Vroege. This variety should not be confused with late varieties of the same breeding group, such as Langedijker Bewaar or Langedijker Herfst.
