The variety forms dense round or round-oval heads weighing from 1.5 to 3.6 kg. Leaves possess moderate crinkling, intermediate between Savoy and white cabbage. Outer leaves have a rich purple-crimson or violet hue with a waxy bloom; inner leaves are light green.
Heads are resistant to splitting and tolerate frosts well, after which the taste becomes sweeter. The crop is suitable for fresh consumption and various types of culinary processing.
