The variety is a historic heirloom, known for many decades. The plant is characterized by early or medium-early maturity, with a period to harvest of 50–60 days.
The stems form above ground, have a rounded shape, a pastel-green skin color, and tender white flesh. If growing conditions are disturbed or if the plant becomes overmature, the flesh becomes fibrous and tough.
The variety is intended for home growing and consumption in fresh or thermally processed form. The seeds can also be used for growing microgreens.
