The variety is early-maturing; the period from transplanting to harvest takes 40–45 days, in some cases up to 60 days to reach technical maturity.

The plant forms a purple-violet stem tuber. The flesh is juicy and tender, suitable for fresh consumption, culinary processing, canning, and freezing.
