The variety has a centuries-old history of cultivation in the vicinity of the town of Futog. The head is characterized by a slightly flattened-oval shape with slight ribbing. The leaves are thin, elastic, and soft, while the head itself is considered less dense and looser than that of other varieties.
The ripening period of the variety is about 130 days after transplanting. The primary purpose is fermentation, for which the variety has an optimal sugar content. The average weight of the head varies between 3–4 kg.
