The historical Riana variety of Danish breeding is recorded in the registers of the 1980s–1990s without a detailed description of characteristics. The modern Riana F1 hybrid is a mid-season cabbage that matures 80–100 days after transplanting.
The plant has high vigor and is adapted to various climatic conditions. Heads have a round shape, dense structure, blue-green exterior color and white interior, reaching a weight from 1.5 to 5 kg depending on growing conditions.
The hybrid has resistance to cracking, black rot, leaf tip burn and tolerance to thrips. Intended for sale on the fresh market.
