The variety is a cultivated turnip whose name translates as "long purple from Circeo". The variety is mentioned in reference lists, however, detailed agrotechnical descriptions, data on maturity group or disease resistance are absent in the publications.

External features are defined by the name: the root crops have an elongated shape and a purple color of the upper part. The variety is used in cooking, like other turnip varieties of this group.
