The root vegetable has an elongated, tapering shape. The upper part is colored pinkish-red, and the main part of the root is white. The flesh is white, tender, and has a mild sweet taste.

The variety is traditionally used in cooking, in particular for preparing salted or pickled dishes. The elongated shape is convenient for slicing into even slices.

The variety is suitable for sowing in spring and summer for autumn harvest. It requires regular watering, as in drought the flesh can become fibrous or hollow.
