The leaf rosette of the variety is semi-erect and well-developed. The root vegetables have an elongated shape, the surface is white with a purple "collar" in the upper part, and the flesh is white.

The variety is traditional Italian. In cooking, it is used primarily in boiled form, in particular for preparing the dish brovada, and is less frequently used in raw grated form.
