The Brudzynska variety belongs to the species Bromus inermis Leyss. Historically, it was used as an object for scientific research and breeding trials in Poland, often acting as a standard in the study of forage grass productivity.

In agronomic research, the variety was considered as a forage crop for hay and pasture use. There is data on the study of its biological response to environmental stress factors, in particular to heavy metal soil contamination.

Under the name Brudzynska in Polish breeding, varieties of other grass species such as red fescue and Italian ryegrass could have been registered, which requires checking the Latin species name when searching for information in registers.
