The variety is a perennial plant that propagates via underground shoots. Its basis consists of material of North American acclimatization, known under the line Jo 0266.

The plant is used as a forage grass, primarily as a component of grass mixtures. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, which has been confirmed by tests in the conditions of Finland and Iceland.
