The variety is a synthetic population formed from five clones selected from local ecotypes. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor in the spring period and good adaptability to unfavorable climatic conditions, including drought.

The variety possesses high lodging resistance and winter hardiness, and exhibits tolerance to diseases. Crude protein content is approximately 12.74%. The produce is used for fodder production, as well as for the prevention of soil erosion and the improvement of soil fertility in steppe and forest-steppe zones.
