Variety description

The variety is octoploid, obtained by crossing natural Bulgarian populations. The plants have an erect habit, with a height of 95–125 cm in the flowering phase. The root system is strong, of the short-rhizome type. The inflorescence is a well-developed panicle of medium density, 19–21 cm long.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to extremely high summer and low winter temperatures. The dry matter is characterized by a higher content of detergent acids and hemicellulose compared to some varieties of Dactylis glomerata and Festuca arundinacea.
