The variety was created using the population fragmentation method, involving the selection of genotypes and the formation of plant biotypes with specific economic and biological traits. The crop is recommended for cultivation in the Crimea region for use as forage.

The plant possesses high productivity, longevity, and drought tolerance, and is adapted to various soil and climatic conditions. In general, this species is characterized by a height of up to 100–150 cm, the presence of creeping rhizomes, and high leafiness.
