The variety is a compact, semi-upright evergreen shrub. Under optimal conditions, it reaches a height of up to 50 cm with a width of about 60 cm; however, young plants may have dimensions of 20–30 cm in height and 18–24 cm in width. The foliage is dark green, needle-like.
The plant belongs to the "bud-flowering" heathers, in which the flowers remain closed for a long time in the form of dense white buds. The decorative period occurs in autumn, with buds persisting on the shoots from September to December. The variety possesses frost resistance and drought tolerance after rooting, and requires planting in acidic, well-drained soils.
