The German-bred variety Lindo (VIR catalog number k-4184) is used as a comparative genotype when studying the productivity and seed quality of Camelina sativa. It has also served as a parental component for creating populations used in mapping the crop's genome.

In field trials, the yield of the variety is 1.13 t/ha with a thousand kernel weight of about 1.08 g. The plant forms an average of 108 pods, each containing about 12 seeds. The oil content in the seeds varies in the range of 29.5–33.8%.
