The variety was formed through the selection of local populations historically associated with the border regions of Slovenia and Austrian Carinthia. The plant is moderately branched and has a pubescent stem and light green, slightly serrated leaves. Young plants are characterized by strong pubescence of the first pair of true leaves. The pods have a pear-shaped form, a yellowish hue, and a long 'beak'; seeds are light brown at the maturity stage.

The variety is characterized as mid-ripening, with maturation occurring in the first half of July. The plant possesses low resistance to powdery mildew and moderate resistance to other pathogens. The oil obtained from the seeds is valued for its favorable ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids; the seeds and seed cake are also suitable for use as animal feed.
