The hybrid Amando F1 (Nun 6040) is a mid-early Cayenne pepper-type plant. The fruits have a straight, elongated, pointed shape, 15–18 cm in length and 2–3 cm in diameter. At technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, turning dark red upon ripening; the taste is characterized as very hot.

The plant is distinguished by vigorous growth and intense leaf coloration. The variety possesses high resistance (HR) to Tobacco mosaic virus, Cucumber mosaic virus, Spotted wilt virus, and tobamoviruses (Tm:0-3), as well as intermediate resistance (IR) to Tomato spotted wilt virus.
