The Keyten F1 variety is characterized by resistance to a complex of diseases, including Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), and Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV).
Resistance of the plant to bacterial leaf spot caused by Xanthomonas campestris has also been recorded.
