Key Largo pepper is of the cubanelle type and is intended for culinary use, particularly for frying and stewing. The plant is characterized by medium size, reaching a height of 60 to 90 cm, and good foliage, which protects the fruits from exposure to direct sunlight.
The fruits have a width of about 50 mm at the base and change color from yellow-green to bright orange-red during ripening. The variety has increased yield compared to standard cubanelle types and is characterized by some field resistance to defoliation and improved disease resistance.
