The Primitiva variety, also known as Tempestiva, belongs to the early-ripening category and opens the harvest season in early September. The fruits have an asymmetric, nearly spherical shape and a medium size, amounting to no more than 110 nuts per 1 kg of produce.

The kernel is characterized by a milky-white color, sweetish taste, and crunchy texture. The thin chestnut-brown pellicle has a tough consistency, with the edible portion accounting for at least 83%.
