Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 60–100 cm and forms neat upright clumps. The narrow leaf blades have longitudinal cream-white and green stripes, which acquire a pink or cherry tint when grown in full sun and cool conditions.
The variety is used in landscaping as a container or accent crop. It is valued for its decorative inflorescences, suitable for floral arrangements. In regions with a temperate climate, it is grown as an annual; the plant is characterized as low-maintenance and resistant to diseases.
In low light, the bush may lose its shape and lodge. The variety is considered sterile or having a very low potential for seed dispersal, which distinguishes it from some invasive species of the Cenchrus setaceus group.
