The variety originated from a mutation discovered in the "Titicaca" variety population in 1992. During the breeding process, long-term selection was conducted for maturity dates, saponin content levels, and disease resistance.

The plant possesses high tolerance to salinity and drought, although it may be susceptible to fungal diseases such as Alternaria species. The variety's seeds contain approximately 11.25% protein and approximately 7.5% resistant starch of the total starch volume.

The crop is intended for the production of grain, flour, and use as leafy greens. The variety is considered promising for the production of gluten-free products and is being researched as a feed additive for ruminants.
