The variety was bred by specialists of the Faculty of Agriculture and Biotechnology of the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology. During the creation process, traditional breeding methods and modern biotechnological approaches were used, including in vitro mutagenesis.
Plants of this variety are widely used in scientific publications as a model object for studying the influence of various factors, including zinc oxide and silver nanoparticles, on root system development, number of leaves, and shoot biomass during cultivation under laboratory conditions.
