The Molian variety was evaluated within the framework of comparative studies at the Pierino Iannelli Plant Genetic Resources Conservation Center at the University of Basilicata. The work focused on the analysis of morphological traits, yield, and resistance to Ascochyta blight.

During the studies, the grain composition was examined, including protein content indicators and the fatty acid profile. Specifically, for this variety, fatty acid content indicators recorded during laboratory analysis of the grain component composition were noted.
