The plant forms compact heads up to 30 cm in diameter with upright dark green leaves and crunchy white petioles. The heart of the plant is cream-colored and possesses a self-blanching property. The taste of the leaves is characterized as pleasant with a slight bitterness.

The variety is intended for sowing from June to August and harvesting from October to December. The plant is resistant to frost and stores well after harvest. Used fresh as a leafy vegetable, it is suitable for professional and amateur cultivation.
