The variety belongs to the escarole type and forms dense, well-filled heads. The leaves are fleshy, broad, and have slight to moderate bitterness, which becomes sweeter when grown in cool conditions. The heart of the rosette is prone to natural blanching.

The plant is mid-season, and the harvest is ready 12 weeks after sowing. The variety possesses high resistance to low temperatures and frost, and is also resistant to bolting in summer sowings. Suitable for fresh consumption and culinary processing.

Intended for cultivation in open field from spring to autumn, as well as in protected cultivation during the autumn-winter period. Due to its frost resistance, it is often used for late harvests.
