The plant forms a lanceolate rosette of slightly inward-curved leaves. The variety has a natural self-blanching property, which ensures a soft texture of the produce.
The variety is intended for cultivation in late summer and autumn when sowing seeds in June–July. The crop prefers sandy, well-fertilized soils and requires a planting scheme of 30 x 30 cm. In crop rotation, it is recommended to place it after early potatoes, legumes, onions, or early cabbage crops.
The variety corresponds to the «Nummer Vijf 2» type and is used exclusively as a salad crop for summer-autumn production.
