The plant forms a vigorous and dense rosette. The leaves are characterized by a broad shape, emerald-green edges, and a white central part. The variety is cold-hardy and intended for open field cultivation.

The produce is suitable for fresh consumption in salads and is also suitable for culinary processing, including stewing, boiling, and use in fillings. A synonymous name for the variety in European catalogs is Géante maraîchère.
