The plant forms large, tightly packed heads 35 to 60 cm in diameter with broad, light green, soft leaves. The variety is characterized as vigorous, with a semi-erect or erect habit. The period from sowing to harvest is 70–100 days.

The variety possesses the ability for natural blanching of the inner part of the head, which reduces leaf bitterness. The plant is resistant to bolting and tolerates light frosts. The leaves are suitable for both fresh consumption and heat treatment, including stewing and baking.
