The plant belongs to the frisée type with a high degree of leaf curl. The leaves have a dark green color and are deeply cut; a large number of blanched yellow leaves form inside the rosette. The variety is distinguished by good weight and high uniformity of produce.

Pandie is suitable for cultivation in the open field during the spring, summer, and autumn periods. The variety possesses tolerance to leaf tip burn, and resistance to marginal rot and bolting. It is used for sale on the fresh market and for industrial processing.
