The variety forms compact cones of long, straight, and uniform shoots that possess a mild taste and low fiber content. The plant is characterized as very early, with a maturity period of about 70 days.

This variety is a selective breeding from the traditional Italian Puntarelle di Galatina type. It is suitable for cultivation in open field from spring to autumn and in unheated greenhouses during the winter period, and is used in cooking in fresh and stewed form.
