The variety belongs to the witloof chicory type. In international documentation for the protection of plant varieties, Zilia is used as a reference for assessing the degree of leaf blistering and the expression of incisions along the margin of the upper third of the leaf, which are characterized as absent or very weak.
In professional vegetable production, the variety is known as a hybrid for witloof chicory production, forming golden-yellow heads. Detailed agronomic characteristics, including maturity dates and disease resistance, are not presented in open sources.
