The plant belongs to the Pan di Zucchero type and forms dense, crunchy heads 25 to 35 cm in height with dark green leaves. In its textural and flavor characteristics, the variety is comparable to Romaine lettuce and possesses a characteristic bitter taste with a hint of sweetness.

The variety is suitable for cultivation in open field, greenhouses, and containers. Due to its properties, it is versatile in cooking and can be used in salads, soups, stews, pasta, or in fried form.
