The variety belongs to the vegetable types of chicory and forms dense, torpedo-shaped heads with white leaves and yellowish edges. The plant height during the growing season is medium.

The produce has a moderately bitter taste and good internal quality without core browning. The variety is suitable both for the traditional cultivation method using cover soil and for the soil-less self-blanching method, and is suitable for open field, greenhouses, or containers.

Videna demonstrates lower sensitivity to changes in environmental conditions compared to traditional selections. The leaves of the crop are consumed fresh in salads or subjected to heat treatment.
