The variety is a triploid hybrid obtained through open pollination of the Fortune mandarin. Its genetic formula is represented as (Citrus clementina × C. tangerina) × (C. nobilis × C. deliciosa). The plant is characterized by stability and uniformity; in trials, it was grafted onto Carrizo rootstock.

Fruits mature in the mid-late season: optimal maturity occurs in early January, with harvesting possible from mid-December to the end of January. Fruit diameter is 50–60 mm, the peel is dark orange-red, and the fruits are easy to peel. Total soluble solids content is 14 ± 1%, acidity is 1.4 ± 0.3%, and the sugar-to-acid ratio is approximately 10.

The primary characteristic is triploid seedlessness; the variety does not induce seed formation in other varieties during cross-pollination. Resistance to Alternaria brown spot, caused by the fungus Alternaria alternata, has also been noted.
