The variety was obtained by crossing the tetraploid Temple tangor with a hybrid of Dancy and Encore mandarins. Young trees may have thorns that decrease with age; to ensure correct crown formation, pruning of scaffold branches is required in the early stage of development.
Fruits are large, weighing 135–203 g, have a flattened shape and medium-thickness peel that is easy to peel. The pulp is very juicy, with a high sugar content. The plant is sensitive to climatic conditions: in a hot and dry climate, the peel texture can become coarse, and after ripening, the fruits are prone to a rapid decline in quality on the tree.
