The variety belongs to the early-maturing Navel orange group and ripens approximately three weeks earlier than the 'Palmer' variety. The fruits are large in size and round in shape.
A distinctive feature of the variety is its ability to color naturally and uniformly, which eliminates the need for artificial degreening of the skin required for a number of older varieties.
The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and export. In cultivation regions, trees may be at risk of fruit drop under the influence of climatic factors such as high temperature and humidity.
