The plant is deciduous and reaches a height of 1.5–2.5 meters. The main distinguishing feature of the variety is its knotted, spirally twisted shoots. The fruits are small, 3–5 cm in diameter, have a yellow pubescent rind, and due to their sour, bitter taste, are used primarily for processing rather than fresh consumption.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is capable of withstanding negative temperatures down to -15...-25°C. It is resistant to diseases and pests, characterized by a slow annual growth of 10–20 cm and a sturdy wood structure.
