The SILKROAD variety is a mutation of the Fino lemon. The tree is characterized by high vigor, abundant foliage that protects the fruits, and few thorns, which facilitates harvesting. The variety possesses increased cold resistance, exceeding that of the Lisbon variety, and is characterized by early onset of bearing.

The fruits have a symmetrical rounded shape, smooth skin, a small nipple, and a less pronounced neck. Under proper agrotechnical conditions, the fruits are practically seedless. The variety is classified as extra-early, with the harvest period occurring from late August to mid-November.
